Cara, I am even more confused. Confirm this: if the Owner decided on Option 1, does s/he has to register the project in EnergyStar Portfolio Manager or is that only if s/he selected Option 2? Or it matters not whether Option 1 or 2 is selected, it is mandatory for the Owner to register the facility in EnergyStar Portfolio Manager.
Lastly, in the EnergyStar Portfolio Manager site, it refers for purposes of satisfying only LEED-EB project, but our projects are LEED-CI yet in the MPR form, it has references to EnergyStar Portfolio Manager. How come?
Hi Steve -
For option 1, yes, you must register with EnergyStar.
For option 2, you don't need to register with EnergyStar, just go to their website and download the template.
Portfolio manager can be used to help project teams earn credit in LEED-EB, but it can also be used as a data store to satisfy MPR #6 for any rating system.
I hope this is helpful.
best,
Cara Mae
Thank you, Cara.
One more irritant - when we tried to create a facility under EnergyStar PM and link it to USGBC, in Step 1 when we entered “USGBC - LEED Performance Reporting” in the field to the right of “Enter Portfolio Manager Username,” we get an error message "The provided username was not found" so where did we go wrong here?
Our project is a LEED-CI one.
Then in Step 3, when asked to specify the group from this user's account to place the shared facility, there is none for ID&C Commercial Interiors, only for Retails!
What to select?
I am very much confused by the requirements for this option also. Looking forward to USGBC's upcoming FAQ document.
