We are currently going for IEQ C8.2 Views for a bank project. Our teller line is 48" high for security and to service customers standing. The teller counter does not align with the credits 42" plane being at 48". The tellers working at the line are using stools with a 22 to 29.75 inch adjustable seat. Has anyone had experience with this credit and this situation?

Draw your sight line at the height of eye level for the tellers. The 42" is a suggested height for a seated adult, but is flexible for nontypical functions.

Yes, but it was under NC 2.2. We had a CIR that asked about higher eye levels as we had an entire room (car dealership shop) where all the staff was standing. The USGBC allowed us to raise the height to a standing height. Your situation is similar, and I suspect that 2009 allows for some latitude. However, if you have other seated users the glazing is going to have to satisfy both lines of sight.
