Hello
We are working on a project where room temperature warehouse and refrigeration warehouse are mixed.
According to LEED INTERPRETATION #10424, under the Exceptional Calculation Method, under the IARW/IACSC Energy Modeling Guideline for Cold Storage and Fragmented Warehouse Facilities,
You are about to run a simulation.
The simulation software that our team uses is Trace 3D Plus, and when I asked the software official, he said that the room with special conditions such as the refrigeration area cannot be simulated.
Is there any other way to implement the IARW/IACSC Energy Modeling Guideline?

You can model this equipment separately and add in the energy use as a process load. You could also use different modleing software like eQUEST Refrigeration to do the whole model.

Thank you, Marcus!
It was really helpful.

Dear Marcus,
I've doubt in IARW/IACSC Energy Modeling Guideline.
Refer to section 5.5.2.2 Equipment Efficiencies, baseline shall be modeled identical Proposed design, therefore we calculate propose evaporator efficiency.
However, section 5.5.2.7 System Fan Power, 0.3W/CFM in system fan power.
If we input 0.3W/CFM, the evaporator efficiency different betweeen Proposed and Baseline.
Can you give me some advise?

The rated efficiency (including fan power) should be identical, but since the fan power is removed from the modeled efficiency (G3.1.2.1) and the fan power will be different, there will be a difference in the modeled efficiency with the fan power removed.
