Hi, our project consist of development of the existing Rialto Hotel building with new build part - The Bridge hotel. We certificate the new build hotel under LEED 2009 New Construction ( The Bridge Hotel). On the reception, which is in new build part The Bridge Hotel and supports hotel guests of The Bridge+Rialto hotel, will be working 22 people according to design team.
Due to the fact that reception is common for those hotels and those two building are connected, so cloakrooms and bathrooms facilities for reception staff are located in the existing part of building which we do not certificate.
We would like to know if we should count those 22 work people in credit WEp1, WEc2, WEc3 in calculations in Water Use Reduction Calculator for new building The bridge or ignore it? And additionally in calculations for Energy Model should we include 22 work people or half of the staff?

Hi Aneta,
Similar to the approach for LEED-CI projects that use outside facilities, I would exclude the 22 staff from WEp1.
You *can* include those 22 people in the WEc2 / WEc3 calculations for credit, if you have efficient fixtures installed in the existing building. But they will have such a small impact relative to your hotel guest rooms, it might not even make a difference.
If you are attempting SSc4.2, definitely include those 22 people for bicycle / shower calculations.
