I am confused as to how to calculate the "Area with Direct Line of Sight to the Outdoors via Vision Glazing (sq ft)" on the excel calculator form. They explain how to do it for View Type 1, specifically for 90 degree windows, however you need to calculate it for all rooms, including ones without 90 degree windows. How do you do that??? Why does it not specify how to do that? How do you find where to do that? Did i miss something?? Please help ASAP!!!

Spaces without views are still included in the calculator as long as its regularly occupied. It would have its own line in the calculator, with its regularly occupied square footage. Under view type 1, you would place zero. There is no need to draw any view lines for spaces that do not have views.

Thank you Todd but what I mean is these spaces HAVE views, I just do not know how to calculate "Area with Direct Line of Sight to the Outdoors via Vision Glazing (sq ft)" because these rooms have only one rectangular window. You must calculate this area for all spaces with windows, even if they are not attempting View Type 1.

Hello Elisaa, I am facing the same question with a project. Did you discover/figure out how to measure the area with the complying views for the spaces that have just one rectangular window?
Thank you and hope your project turned out well!
