We are building a hotel with LEED NC v2009. If we can prove that all interior lighting has no direct line of sight do we still need to comply with option 1: reduced input power or option 2: shielding? Or can the hotel rooms be excluded from this part of the requirement?

How can a hotel comply with these requirements when the intent of a hotel room is to allow the occupant ability to change the shading and lighting as they need.

Of course all other areas of the hotel beyond hotel rooms will prove compliance with one of the interior lighting requirement options.

Thanks for the input.
