I am a bit confused about the use of herbicides and fertilizers for landscaped areas within the LEED boundary. The landscaping company has applied products that are approved by the Agricultural Department in the State of Florida but are not included in the San Francisco Pesticide Hazard Screening List. Could these products still be used on the LEED project and if so, would they require a Universal Notification? Thanks

Hi Joseph, herbicides follow the same IPM rules that pesticides do. Fertilizers have other sustainability criteria that are separate from IPM (eg. organic etc).
But back to herbicides, I've been using this very handy tool to get a pesticide tier rating: http://pesticideresearch.com/site/pestsmart. If you can find the products in this tool, you can follow your IPM procedures and universal notification (as needed) accordingly based on their hazard tier. Hope this helps!
