I'm working with a team on a hotel project, which is a highrise in a dense urban environment (100% of the site is covered by the building). A portion of the building at the base is carved away and supported by columns. This area makes up an outdoor pedestrian entrance plaza, and a drop off drive aisle (think Corbusier Pilotis). Couldn't the building itself be considered an "architectural structure" that is shading these exterior hardscapes, making this credit available to us?
