Hi All,
Can I check if the local green certification for products can be used in place of Green Seal products for the integrated pest management plan, as well as other policies, e.g. the green cleaning policy for IEQ pre-req.
My project site is in Singapore and I am proposing Singapore Green Label Scheme (SGLS) products in the plans & policies as Green Seal products are uncommon in Singapore.
Thank you very much!

Hi Jin, there's a list of approved eco-labels here: www.usgbc.org/credits/eq31. I've pasted them below too.
The overarching requirement is this: "For projects outside the U.S., any Type 1 eco-labeling program as defined by ISO 14024: 1999 developed by a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network may be used in lieu of Green Seal or Environmental Choice standards".
I don't see the SGLS label in the list below so you may want to submit a CIR to get confirmation that it's approved for your project. Or if you can provide documentation that confirms that SGLS meets the ISO standard, that should be enough and you may be able to skip the CIR.
EU Ecolabel
Bra Miljöval (Good Environmental Choice)
Der Blaue Engel (The Blue Angel)
Ekologicky Šetrný Výrobek (Czech Ecolabel)
Svanen (The Swan, Nordic Ecolabel)
Листок жизни (Vitality Leaf )
Жива планета (Living Planet)

Hi Trista,
Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply. FYI, I have checked out the SGLS website @ http://www.greenlabel.sg/index.html and they have complied with the ISO 14024 standards. Will email them for the ISO certificate for documentation.
Thank you and have a good day.
Cheers,
Jin
