Does someone know if there is a cleaner/disinfectant that is rated for norovirus and meets the LEED EBOM Green Cleaning requirements (v2009 or v4)?
We are looking for a pro-active application of chemicals that kill norovirus and we are looking for a "bodily fluid response kit" onsite. If someone vomits on a surface, these are the chemicals that would be used to clean it up. In a pro-active context, these are the chemicals that would be applied on "high-touch" surfaces. Thanks for your help!

Hi Lauren, I'm not aware of a specific product that meets these criteria but I recommend checking out the Green Schools Initiative website. They have a lot of information on preferred products for disinfecting. These links in particular contain some good info -

Look at Virox.
Then go over to Practice GreenHealth and the Healthier Hospitals Initiative for more guidance on sustainable healthcare operations.
As for proactive items, this gets a lot more complicated as textures of materials become important.

How about Spore Cleanse? (Not sure on spelling) It's basically an acidic mixture that physically eats away at all the nasties.
I know they use it in some pharma applications, but they aren't too concerned with LEED.
