Hi, I am pursuing Green Cleaning as an ID credit for a NC v3 building. Does anyone know when does the performance period begin? Or because this is NC there is no need to consider a performance period and the project should comply with the policy and program requirements from the outset? Also, are the thresholds the same as for the EBOM credits (30% for cleaning products and 20% for cleaning equipment)? Many thanks,

Hi Ed,
When pursuing Green Cleaning as an ID credit for NC projects, documentation showing the performance period and compliance with the required thresholds is not necessary to document the ID credit. All that needs to be provided is the Green Cleaning Policy. However, note that if the building plans to submit for recertification, establishing protocols to ensure the Green Cleaning policy is followed and tracked, will ensure an easier process for submitting for recertification.
Hope this helps!

Ed, I would recommend you take a look at the LEED O+M Starter Kit (http://www.usgbc.org/node/4790126). This is a package of Pilot Credits based on the LEED O+M v4 prerequisite language, and includes green cleaning.

Does the use of a green cleaning policy require the registration of the Former Pilot Credit IPpc88? If so, it looks like there needs to be two of the options performed, and not just green cleaning. Correct?

Hi Kristopher - it's no longer a pilot credit. If you follow the link that Christopher posted you'll see a notice stating "Pilot Credit Closed - Innovation Catalog Version Available.
The O+M Starter Kit pilot credit was closed on 8/16/2016, however, a modified version is available in the Innovation Catalog." Here's the link to the updated Innovation credit: https://www.usgbc.org/node/10401616. And yes, you have to document 2 of the credits if you go this route.

I read in another comment thread that green cleaning was being submitted as "Other Quantifiable Building Performance" under SSc1, Option 2, Path 12. Do you think this is doable? I never thought of this until I read it in a separate thread. Your thoughts?

That may be how it was documented for version 2009 projects?
