Gas Fired Generators for Backup/Emergency

Hello,

I'd like advice on how to model high pressure gas to fuel three 300 kW backup generators. There is also subsequently piping in natural gas from the local utility used as fuel for the HVAC units and standalone hot water heater.

What is the best way to model generators in the baseline and proposed design?

Back up generator are typically not included in the modeling results as they only operate in emergencies beyond some routine maintenance.

Marcus,    Thanks. I will skip on modeling the backup generators then. On a similar note in therms of emergency uses, but different equipment.... I have a ventilation fan in a UPS Room that only runs during emergency, although the Room has cooling. Should I model the fan in this space with a schedule tied to it, or not ?

Again if it only operates in emergencies then I would not include it in the model.
