In South Florida, our local utility, Florida Power & Light (FPL), has a program call Business On Call. They set it up so they can turn off your A/C for short periods of time..."up to 17.5 minutes at a time every half hour during a six-hour window."
Since in South FL A/C is the bulk of a load at any given time, this would be well more than a 10% shedding of the load when FPL turns it off.
We are just looking for a sanity check to see if there is anything we are missing in including these points in our scorecards.
