On this island, there is no mechanism to recycle plastic; HOWEVER, and as I will explain in the narrative, they are implementing a very impressive system here soon that essentially converts non-recyclables (solid waste) into gas that is sold to the power company. In the meantime, plastic still goes to the landfill. I do not see it as advantageous for them to track it outside of doing an revised waste stream audit. It would be overly burdensome as then they would need equipment to dispose of the plastics in their own large bin, into the solid waste. We are prepped to do the audit, and will do as such. The property here has done everything in it's purvey to reduce the use of plastic.
