I am working on a fitness center project and the team would like to follow Enhanced Commisioning Path 2: Flush-out.
This option allows the building to be occupied prior to completion of the flush-out following the requirements: Delivery of 3500 cubic feet of outdoor air per square foot and once the space is occupied, it must be ventilated at a minimum rate of 0.3 cfm per square foot of outside air or the design minimum outdoor air rate determined in IEQp1, whichever is greater. During each day of the flush-out period, ventilation must begin a minimum of 3 hours prior to occupancy and continue during occupancy. These conditions must be maintained until a total of 14,000 cubic feet per square foot.
Does anyone have any experience with this option and what furnishings are allowed in the space? How about workout equipment?
Thank you!
