Hi, All!
It would really help significantly if you could help with the following questions:
1. In online forms, if I choose the appropriate thresholds (second button next to the online forms), and hit the "Submit" button, will it automatically send the credit for review?
2. Is it possible to submit credits for review separately? We have not done a precertification and are going for a combo version of the submittal. Technically there is a possibility to Submit a credit when you have finished filling in the required information. But is it a popular practice?
Thank you in advance!

If you chose a "split review" you can submit ONCE for Design Review and ONCE for Construction Review. Once you have submitted and received comments, you can re-submit ONCE. This means if you just submit a single Credit for Design Review, all the remaining Credits you plan to pursue can only be submitted for Construction Review.
Unfortunately the entire certification process is too complex to explain here. I urge you to read the Reference Manual for more comprehensive guidance.
More information is available here Guide to LEED Certification: Commercial | U.S. Green Building Council (usgbc.org)
We have not done Precertification, so I won't comment about that.

my experience with Precertification is that GBCI is extremely specific in their requests...so much so that they pretty much require a 90% design document set to be submitted. Site plan, floor plans, sections/elevations, renderings, mechanical plans/schedules, FTE w/ water calcs and vent calcs etc..
my particular project needed the precert to get approval from the municipality to build on the land but did not have funds for a full site plan or A/MEP set of documents. We needed to explain this in a detailed narrative and get GBCI approval through a special circumstances approach.
Simply put, if Precert is desired ... be prepared to submit a near 100% design document set and applicable design phase calcs.
