Hi. As requested by the review team, we need to prove the faucet flow rate. However, we can not find any data from the manufacturer. We use a basin and a stopwatch to test the flow rate. To meet the requirement of 0.5 GPM, we wrench the angle valve connected to the faucet. Is it acceptable for such measures to prove the faucet flow rate meets the requirement of 0.5 GPM ?

Charlie,
I would challenge the manufacturer to provide the flow rate or consider changing out the aerators. I don't think modifying the flow rate by taking a wrench to the supply would be acceptable to GBCI. Typically, the flow rate is measured at a specific pounds per square inch (PSI) flow rate. With the variance in water pressure around the world this is one way to ensure the GPM flow rates meet the requirements. This is what I consider the best source for replacement aerators, http://www.neoperl.com/default.aspx. I was in Beijing in June and experienced the big rain. It made the sky look beautiful.
