Hallo everyone,
I am modeling a C&S project with 8 floors, and system 7 will be used in the Baseline Case. For system 7, usually each floor shall be modeled with a separate HVAC system in Baseline.
But this project has both laboratory and office areas, laboratory spaces are smaller than office spaces and are more than 20,000 ft². Two separate AHUs supply outdoor air for lab and office. Therefore according to G3.1.1 Exception (a) I made also two HVAC in Baseline building.
1) Is this correct?
2) If this solution is correct, the pressure drop adjustment for fully ducted EA system is 0.5 or 0.5 x 8 floors?
3) Is there no pressure drop because of supply air ducts?
Thank you in advance!

1. Sounds like you can apply that exception.
2. The pressure drop adjustment is applied to the fan power calculations at the system level.
3. I think it is assumed that the supply air is ducted, so no adjustment.
