Hello,
Would that be possible to reach the credit, if the facade lighting doesn't fullfil the upligth criteria, but it is turned off after 10pm?

If you want to use the v4 version of this credit, it has an exemption for façade lighting that is off in the middle of the night.
This version still needs to show compliance.

Thank you Bill. I will consider the LEED v4 path then.

I have been trying to figure out how to document that I will be substituting LEED v4 SSc8 compliance in the LEED V2009 submittal form. The website instructions state: "In the V2009 form under additional details check "Alternate Compliance Path" at the bottom of the page..." I cannot locate "additional details" or a check box for "Alternate Compliance Path" on the LEED V2009 SSc8 form. Is it located on another form? Is it hidden in a pull down? Is there another method for documenting this substitution?

I looked up the sample forms for this credit. The check box for "Alternate Compliance Path" existed on form version v04 but I don't see it on form version v06. So it looks like someone "cleaned-up" the form and removed it.
My last project used the newer form version v06. You can see the form version in the bottom right corner next to the copyright.
Under "Special Circumstances" we wrote, "The design team is opting to substitute the V2009 Light Pollution Reduction Credit for the V4 Light Pollution Reduction Credit. See attached documentation."
Download a v4 sample form https://www.usgbc.org/sampleforms
Fill it out and submit the pdf as an upload with the other documentation.
It seemed to work for us.
