I have a project that has a large amount of curtain wall. Where the glazing is opaque, the curtain wall will be covered by continuous foil-faced, mineral wool board insulation. None of the insulation will be exposed. It is all covered with cold-formed metal framing and gypsum board.
Since the insulation is interior of the air/vapor board, it needs to meet emissions testing requirements. Does it also have to be a certified formaldehyde-free or NAUF product? The LEED Manual for Option 1 indicates only General Emissions Testing.
