Hello,
I am currently working on a residential project looking for certification under LEED V4.
The interior areas will be most apartment spaces, these apartments have balconies. In terms of lighting should the balconies be considered as an exterior space under the category of sales canopies/ free standing and attached?

Yes they are exterior. Use Building entrances and exits, other doors.

The standard says that for the category "Building entrances and exits, other doors" the ligthing power allowance should be (20W/linear foot of door width). Here is my question, if i have a balcony with a 27 ft side (215 square feet) and it has just a 6 ft door, shall I calculate the lighting power allowance with the door width (6 ft) or can I do it with the balcony width (27 ft).
