Hello everyone

As im studying for LEED AP exam , i've got an almost basic question which is a little bit confusing to me. how can we really earn points for exemplary performance? i know the proceudre for credits, the thing that i dont know is for example in BPDO material ingredients credit there are two options with 1 point each, so we can get 2 points by pursuing the both. lets say project team decide to pursue exemplary performance as well. in this case what would be the overall points for this credit ?4 points?
