In calculating the number of shower/changing rooms for a commercial office building project, can the FTE’s for the largest tenant in the building be excluded from the total building FTE count since they will have their own private company shower facilities within their space? We will factor their FTE’s into the bike rack count, but since they will have their own showers, do we need to include their population in the remaining occupant shower calculations? Thank you.

Rather thn excluding them, it might be simpler just to include their private showers in the total shower count. Just make sure you verify the # of showers for the remaining FTE is the right count.

I agree. We would then not be risking rejection by asking for an alternative calculation method. I will still include a short explanation with numbers to verify, however. Thanks for the advice!
