We are building a healthcare project and have registered our project as LEED for NC. We have a question concerning exterior lighting. In LEED Healthcare it states "Note: The following areas may be excluded from credit requirements: emergency departments, including helipads, a designated parking area for night staff, a designated parking area for night visitors, pedestrian walkways, service/loading areas and associated circulation routes. Helipad areas shall be illuminated in accordance with applicable transprotation requriements".
Does this mean we can exclude these areas from the light trespass calculation? or just light power density?
Thanks for the help.
