Based on my CD review comments and current estimates I am exactly 50 points for silver (2009 NC). If in our final review we miss any points we will not make silver. Our back up is to buy some green power but would like to wait to see if it is necessary. Is is possible to submit for this after the final CD review?

I believe the only way to add them in is to "appeal" the credit. Which is unfortunate. This is something that the GBCI could improve upon :) . Reviewing this credit probably takes 10 minutes. The appeal $500 may be more than the cost of green power if your project is <25,000 sf.

Yes is small - I'm getting quotes now - we may just submit just in case. Thanks!

If you need a certain level, always submit with a least two to three points above the desired cert level.
Kathryn, not every appeal takes just ten minutes and you forget the time administratively that it takes prior to the reviewer even opening the credit.

ok I will concede to your point, I just hate when I have to weigh the options of risking the need for an appeal or paying for the green power up front with the final review. There are probably other appeals that take forever to review so I guess it evens out in the end.
