We are building a new building with concrete precast wall and roof panels with a concrete slab-on-grade. After the walls and roof panels have been installed, we will be bringing in concrete trucks/pump truck into the "enclosed" space.
Due to the smoke/fumes generated by the trucks, would it be acceptable to bring the trucks into the space (easier) or convey the concrete into the space? Thinking about the smoke/fumes permeating into the wall/roof panels.
We do not have alot of large openings in the perimeter to vent the smoke/fumes through; thought about using large exhaust fans.

Hi Kimo,
Sorry for the much delayed response and I hope this is still helpful to you. Do you have a way to protect ventilation systems while this is happening? It seems like a safer bet to convey the concrete in without bringing the trucks in. However, if you are able to completely protect and cover up ventilation systems or porous surfaces, and then conduct a thorough flush out when completed, this could work.
Another alternative might be to reduce or prohibit idling of these trucks, or look for contractors who can supply cleaner emission vehicles.
