Hello,
I am working on the retail store in a mall in Tx and pursuing EQc - Indoor Air Quality Testing credit. The company that is performing this test has found that all VOC test results are complying except for TVOC. So, do they have to retest? Also, do we have to submit test results from the lab because the lab and the company which conducted the test and report are different.

Hello Roshni,
Yes, TVOC or any contaminants should be tested until they meet the requirement. The testing should be done after construction ends and before occupancy. The testing should follow the applicable method for specific contaminants. (Refer to the - TABLE 1. Maximum concentration levels, by contaminant and testing method. All contaminants should meet the requirement.) Yes, test results should be submitted. Also, note the laboratories that conduct the tests for chemical analysis of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds must be accredited under ISO/IEC 17025 for the test methods. Hope it helps.
Thanks!
