Under V4.1 the IAQ performance testing for TVOCs was completed using in house IAQ equipment , but V5 changes to the requirement to labaratory based VOC testing. Based on our experince with IAQ testing for V4.1 NC, the new requirement will add significant addtional cost to the certification process.
For cost sensitive clients or smaller sites, this increase will likely push them out of the LEED system.
