I've read through the list of previous comments, but am still a little confused based on the latest template updates. With that said, we're working on a government building that has 90% of the spaces requiring an epoxy floor and wall finish. The product submitted is a Sherwin Williams Tile-Clad epoxy finish. So my questions are as follows:
1) Is it correct that the epoxy wall coating be classified as a sealer/undercoater?
2) Is it correct that the flooring be listed under IEQc4.2 Coatings and also be classified under sealer/undercoater?
3) Under the MSDS sheet secton 9 properties. It lists two (2) VOC contents. This first being 210 g/l Less water and federally exempt solvents. The second being 126 g/g Emitted VOC. The 210 g/l won't comply if listed under sealers, but the 126 would. Which is the proper VOC to list for compliance?
I thank you in advance for any help/advice you can offer. Have a good day.

Here are my quick thoughts.
1. depends - are you using the epoxy as a sealer or undercoater or are you putting it over gyp bd? Applications matter.
2. Flooring goes over in MRc4.3 but there have been conversations about epoxy flooring on this thread and in MRc4.3. Read them to verify.
3. Again, applications matter so I'm not sure completely how to respond. But in general, our epoxy coating/paint/flooring specs all contain products that are much lower than the ones you are quoting. Perhaps a read through SCAQMD's definitions and a call to your Sherwin Williams rep is in order.
