NC-v4.1 EQc2:Low-Emitting Materials

EN 717-1:2014

Hi,

We are reviewing a product to determine compliance with the Composite Wood Evaluation. The product complies with Class E1 Requirements. However, the testing method was done following UNE-EN ISO 12460-3:2016 (Wood-based panels - Determination of formaldehyde release - Part 3: Gas analysis method (ISO 12460-3:2015)) instead of UNE-EN 717-1:2014 (Wood-based panels - Determination of formaldehyde release - Part 1: Formaldehyde emission by the chamber method).

Does it really make a difference of the results taken from one method to another? Would it be accepted by the reviewer?

Thanks
