Is an ECO Platform EPD acceptable for a project in the United States?

I have seen manufacturer's state the EPD has global recognition, but I am not sure if that translates into being acceptable to GBCI for a material manufactured in Europe and installed in the United States since manufacturing and install happen in different global regions.  I have had EPDs from regions different than the region it is installed rejected on past projects.
