We are currently working on an EBOM submission with a deadline of 12/23. Given that it's the holidays, we've had some trouble tracking down some last minute details, so we were considering asking for an extension of deadline. We want to avoid extending the PP, but we need another week or so to confirm some data. Is this possible and will it affect us?

Just ask for an extension, its not a big deal and real easy to do. You may not get an response back until after your deadline anyway this time of year. If you don;t hit the deadline or ask for an extension, it won;t stop your review. Seen project not ask for an extension and resubmit almost a year later. But asking for one is a courtesy and part of the process.

Agreeing with Todd, the extension is not a big deal. They will give you 25 days and if you choose to only use 7 days, that is fine. They are going to give you a flat 25 days no matter what.
