Do the required savings for this prerequisite (and credit) need to come only from building energy, or also process loads?

Hospitality-NC-v4 EAp2:Minimum energy performance

EAp2 Option 2 - 50% watts in Energy Star no longer required?

we're doing a hotel.  Owner's preferred guestroom mini-frig is NOT Energy Star compliant (as you know, many appliances that used to be Energy Star no longer are under new requirements).

 

50% energy star watts doesn't appear to be part of the Option 2 prereq as it is in ID+C.  Has anyone come across this and can you please advise?  thank you

It appears that Option 2 for this credit would not apply to your project type, so you need to follow Option 1. In the energy model refrigeration and other plug loads are considered process loads and are simply modeled identically in both models. This would not really impact your pursuit of this prerequisite like it does in ID+C.
