EAc1 Space Cooling and Heating

Hello, When I generate the EAc1 Summary Report in HAP I have a negative percent savings in space cooling and heating in the performance rating table. Is the space cooling and heating energy and demand based on the space inputs and system inputs? If so, shouldn't I be seeing a positive percentage since the inputs for proposed are more insulated? Thanks!

Hi Mark, There might be other factors other than the insulated envelope that has an impact on the negative saving percentage. Look through the HVAC systems which might be consuming more kWh or Therms, also double check the T-stat schedules which should be identical between the two models (Baseline & Proposed). You can ONLY relate the savings to the envelope material if this is the ONLY difference between the two designs.
