Hello Dears,
Is plasterboard / Drywall not considered a product for LEED V4 ?
This is what I understood from the LEED guide, page 469,
In our project we aim to have 20 Cradle to Cradle products, so even if I have 3 drywall products are certified Cradle to Cradle, they will not be counted in the LEED?
for your info, only dry wall are certified Cradle to Cradle, the uprights and rails of these drywall do not have the Cradle to Cradle certificates?

Sara and Denisa, if I understand what you mean by drywall (aka gypsum board, sheetrock) yes those products do count towards the BPDO credits. If you have 3 separate and distinct drywall products that are certified Cradle to Cradle with documentation, it will count as 3 products for the Material Ingredients credit. They can be from the same manufacturer or all different manufacturers. It is common to have multiple brands of drywall products on a job site.
Keep in mind if your'e pursuing Option 1 for Material Ingredients, you must provide 20 products from 5 different manufacturers to earn the credit. You could also look at swapping the credit into LEED v4.1 BD+C which expands the list of acceptable Material Ingredient Reporting. Good luck!

Hi Sara,
Wallboard is count as a product based on LEED BD+C v4 guide page 469 under section of Defining a Product, which qualified as permanent installed building product (an item that arrives on the project site either as a finished element ready for installation or as a component to another item assembled on-site).
Therefore, 3 drywall products certified Cradle to Cradle can be counted in the LEED.
