I am working on a new residence hall project, in which majority of the student dorm rooms have a closet space that is for the most part open to the room, but separated by a wing wall to provide some privacy. The wing wall is the only partition within the room and creates a space that does not have a direct view outside. The IEQ space matrix does not count closets as regularly occupied spaces, so can I exclude the SF for the closet even though it is technically all one room?

The closet SF can be excluded.
