We have a residential project in China, the owner is interested in getting LEED ND certified. It is a common practice that the developers only install sufficient plumbing pipings but not the fixtures and fittings. It is up to the occupants to choose what fixtures to be used.
So for a project like, is it still possible to satisfy this prerequisite requirement?
Thank you very much.

Thanks for your question. This isn't something that's come up with other Chinese projects that I'm aware of. In a situation like this, you would typically show a lease stipulating that the future tenants would install fixtures with an efficiency 20% below baseline. Or, if you are installing some fixtures but not all, you would do the calculation assuming that the uninstalled fixtures would be at code (which means that what you do install would need to be significantly better to result in an average that meets the requirements).

Thank you for your reply.
I meant for residential buildings, the developer only build the "core and shell" and the future residents make the desicion for the interiors, including the fixtures.
Lease option is probably more feasible for us.
Thanks again!
