One use type is “Community anchor uses - Housing (100 or more dwelling units)”. In one project I used a large area of single family houses, all within tha right distance, for this purpose. The reviewer said: “Single family homes do not meet the intent of the housing use type, which refers to multi-family units.” Can somebody point out this definition to me? Does it say in the reference guide that housing has to be multi-family? The first dictionary I found online says “housing – houses and flats considered collectively.”

Hello Maria,
As per LEED v4 BD+C Reference guide diverse use is defined as - " diverse use a distinct business or organization that provides goods or services intended to meet daily needs and is publicly available." A residential neighborhood with single family houses do not meet the definition of a diverse use as it is not distinct dwelling unit. I think a large apartment or condo building would qualify (being a distinct organization), while a neighorhood of homes would not qualify.
Hope this helps!
