ND-Plan-v4 GIBc5:Building reuse

Defining building reused area

Hello LEEDusers!

I am working on a LEED ND Plan certification on a site that only has one existing buildings. I will refurbish that building while the rest will be newly built. In order to earn the credit, I only need to reuse 50% of that existing building or I cannot earn the credit as I don't have enough area to reuse 50% of my total planned surface area?

Thanks

Hi Luisa. If I understand correctly, you're asking whether the credit threshold is 50% of one existing building's surface area or 50% of a project's total existing and planned buildings' surface areas. The answer is the former: 50% of one existing building's surface area. If I've misunderstood the question, please let me know. Eliot
