Is it possible to assume recycled content to be 25% postconsumer for steel comparable to New construction? Chairs or tables for example often have a steel content and nothing special is known about it.

Hi Ralf,
While there's no official ruling that EBOM projects can use the NC default for steel recycled content, it's likely to be accepted in the review process since 25% is a conservative estimate for this type of material. If that feels like too much uncertainty, it may be worth it to spend some time asking the manufacturer to confirm the actual level of recycled content.
