NC-v4 EQc2: Low emitting materials
Our project team is trying to identify a crystalline waterproofing product that will be applied in the elevator shaft, but it doesn't appear that there are any crystalline waterproofing products that meet the General Emissions criteria for EQc2. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Are throw rugs subject to the credit requirements?
What are the adhesives and sealants to be included in the documentation?
Is there a VOC budget method for this credit?
What are the limits on the VOC budget method?
Do products applied to the weather barrier need to comply with VOC thresholds?
If one part of my multicomponent wall system is not compliant, can I still get full credit?

if the crystalline waterproofing product is used as an add mixture to the concrete, would the concrete need VOC emissions testing for v4? I assume not.

Elizabeth and CIndy - I wasn't able to find a crystalline waterproofing product that met the General Emissions requirement either. However, we did find a product, Xypex Concentrate, that we think would be considered inherently nonemitting since the only components listed on the SDS was portland cement, alkaline earth compounds, and silica sand. We hope GBCI would view this as an I.N.E. product since it did not contain any binders, polymers or resins and is zero VOCs. Since the sds indicates this contains hex. Chromium, the product should be mentioned in all 3 plans by GC:
Stormwater/wastewater protection
Waste disposal
Indoor air quality during construction.
It appears the product since mixed with concrete would be inherently non emitting and thus not need a general emissions evaluation.

Hi Gwenedd, I think that's the same product we ended up using on my project, and I agree with the justification that it is inherently non-emitting. Thanks!
