Hi Folks -
Has anyone had success documenting this credit using the Cove.Tool outputs? While the table Cove provides does detail the necessary criteria, the visual output is too high level to truly align with the documentation requirements - doesn't label spaces, doesn't show view lines, etc. I wanted to see what others had experienced before asking the architect to go through the onerous process of demonstrating the various criteria via floor plan/elevation/sections markup.

I am currently trying to use cove.tool to document this credit. I saw your post and wondered if you had any luck in doing this?

Hi Hal -
Unfortunately we did eventually decide to have the architect produce additional supporting doucmentaiton to augment the Cove.Tool output based on LEED Coach feedback:
"It's difficult for us to say whether a reviewer will accept an alternative form of documentation. Until the EQ Subject matter experts and the LEED development team discuss this and take a formal position on it you probably have two options: Submit with the USGBC spreadsheet, Cove tool output report, and a Special Circumstances narrative justifying why you believe the Cove Tool calculates in compliance with LEED requirements. You might point to the tutorial - https://help.covetool.com/en/articles/4613216-leed-quality-views-documentation - as part of the narrative. This would be "judged on it's merits" and you would want to be prepared to provide additional drawings/ marked up to show the view angles and other key criteria. Or, provide the additional mark up for the preliminary review. That would be the safer approach, especially the first time through."
