I am currently calculating the maximum number of cycles so to estimate the number of points achieved. I am a bit confused regarding this calculation since not many explanations are given in the LEED reference guide and I could not find any example.

My case is what follows:

The potable water concentrations result in the following concentrations ( CaCO3 65 ppm, Total alkalinity 70 ppm, Cl 13 ppm, Conductivity 302 us/cm). This is the current information available from a nearby place and an on-site measurement will be performed in the future.

The cooling tower maximum allowed concentrations ( CaCO3 740 ppm, Total alkalinity 600 ppm, Cl 300 ppm, Conductivity 3300 us/cm).

Therefore, the lowest number of cycles is the total alkalinity with 7 cycles.

For two points a 25% increase in the number of cycles is required, thus:

CaCO3 65 ppm * 7 * 1.25 = 568 ppm < 750 ppm Comply

Total alkalinity 70 ppm * 7 * 1.25 = 612 ppm < 625 ppm Not comply

Cl 13 ppm * 7 * 1.25 = 113 ppm < 300 ppm Comply

Conductivity 302 us/cm *7 *1.25 = 2642 ppm < 3300 ppm Comply

If I am not mistaken only 1 point is achieved since the maximum level of concentration is met by the increase of cycles are not.

Could you please provide me with some insight regarding this issue? Is correct my approach?
