If a contractor is opting for Option 2 under the Construction and Demolition Waste Management credit, (less that 2.5 lbs/sf) do they still need to plan for Option 1 indicating the 5 streams to obtain the prerequisite? What information is required to show planning under Option 2? This is an office space buildout and although no premanufactured pieces or other strategies will be used, the contractor doesn't anticipate passing the 2.5 lb threshold.

Deborah - The way the prerequisite is currently written - yes, you still need to plan for Option 1, which I know doesn't seem consistent with Option 2. I don't see any specific requirements in this prerequisite related to Option 2. I would ensure your CWM Plan notes you will be following Option 2. You might look closely at Step-By-Step Guidance in the corresponding credit for any additional guidance.
I think doing the prerequisite will help you in case the contractor's estimate doesn't pan out.
