I am working on a project that consists of an existing building which will be retrofitted and modeled as a major renovation under LEED BD+C. The new design calls for a large data center on the third floor which is currently an office space. As there is no extensive insulation in the existing interior walls/floors surrounding the space, how am I supposed to treat the baseline model constructions surrounding these specific areas? It doesn't seem appropriate to leave them as regular gyp board walls but it seems that we should be able to take SOME credit for properly insulating these new spaces.

Baseline construction can be modeled as existing under Table G3.1-5 (Baseline) (f).
