I'm looking to achieve this Pilot credit for my project. How have people found success achieving this? My thought is to insert the "ACP" language under the Recycled Content responsible sourcing and extracting criteria language into my specifications. Is this a strategy people are using and finding success? Any tips to make sure it's getting picked up in practice?

As reclaimed and recycled wood content are not held to the FSC requirements, we focused on products that included new wood content. Our project being under LEED v2009 and in Malaysia, we were not initially pursing this credit because FSC would not be readily available.
The pilot credit changed the equation for us. We registered for the pilot as an ACP to the v2009 Certified Wood credit. We found that with the ACP Legal Wood Calculator we were better able to support responsibly managed forests regionally. We documented 100% certified "PEFC - forest management via PEFC chain of custody", meaning 100% Legal, % Responsible. This resulted in 100% value of certified wood.
As our project is being certified under LEED v2009-CS, "non-wood eligible products" are not applicable. However, had we been pursing LEED v4, we would not have achieved this credit point because the total value of wood products was quite small compared to the total value of all permanently installed products.
The ACP Legal Wood Calculator doesn't support non-USD currency, so we input our costs in Malaysian Ringgit and then mentioned this special circumstance in the credit form narrative. The LEED reviewers accepted this approach.
