For some prerequisites and credits, including energy and water consumption, LEED ND includes compliance requirements for new buildings. Our masterplan contains many new buildings but will not go into the level of detail outlined in the guidance document for many. Building designs will be developed at a later date by separate design teams. Can I please check our understanding is correct and that it is sufficient to document that future design teams will be contractually required by the Client to adhere to the LEED ND requirements at the time of design and construction?

Philippa, a letter of commitment or contractual obligation is sufficient under the ND v4 Plan rating system, but under the ND v4 Built Project rating system the details are necessary.
