WE are working on a LEED ND project and are currently incorporating the LEED requirements in the project specifications. We are trying to cover in the specs what the contractor needs to document and submit .By reviewing the dynamic credit forms (templates) for some credits, I am noticing that there is not much upload requirements as there would be in the LEED NC forms for similar credits. For instance, neither credit GIBc13 nor GIBc15 seem to require any documents to verify efficiency values, recycled content, model numbers, etc. - Normally, letters from manufacturers and/or technical cutsheets, are required to support the project team and contractor claims to earn such credits. Is LEED ND less stringent in documents submission?

Nader, yes some ND credits may require less manufacturer documentation than NC. In some cases, ND's documentation requirements are also tied to a project's submission stage, with Stage 1 requiring only commitments and Stage 3 requiring as-built descriptions.

We are constructing streets, green areas, bicycle path and pedestrian path, they are all part of a ND development. We need to construct road embankment because final street level is higher from the actual soil level. We intend to use excavated on-site soil to realize road embankment. We need to know if road embankment must be accounted for GIBc15 calculation.

Soil excavated onsite for use as a road embankment does not qualify for use as recycled or reclaimed material for this credit.

Final question: is required to account road embankment in total mass of infrastructure materials for GIB credit 15?
In other words: for GIB credit 15 calculation is road embankment part of denominator?
Thank you

The material you are describing sounds more like fill than specific road base/subbase. Fill material is neutral and should not be factored into either the denominator or numerator for this credit.
Any material specifically used as road base/subbase should, however, be included in the denominator here.
