Greetings,
There is a question from the Owner of Data center in respect of the forth comming commissioning process for his project.
The question is related to the specific IT equipment and the special el. system connected with it. The Owner would like these equipment to be also commissioned upon LEED EA Fundamental and/or Enhanced Commissioning.
In all of the Cx requirement and scopes of activities listed in the LEED v4 Reference guide there is nothing associated with commissioning of such kind of equipment as well as any manufacturing and production processes.
In that direction is our intend to reply to the owner, but if there are some other statement, requirement or concept related to LEED, please give us a kind of statement about or a direction where to look for guidance.
Thanks

These systems would not be required to be commissioned to comply with EAc1. Process systems are a great thing to commission, no doubt about it. But the scope of this work would be outside of the normal scope for a LEED project and may require more specialized expertise and experience than a building agent can provide. So you will find no guidance from the standard.
Now there are always systems that can be a little fuzzy. In a data center, if you have liquid cooled computers and they are connected to a larger chilled water system, then the interface between the building system and the processor system would be in the scope of work. This always takes some judgment on the part of a CxA.
