We are looking to specify a commercial washer dryer for a high school project. The LEED requirement for a commercial washer is atleast 120000 lbs for laundry per year. Per the calculations the project is not doing so much laundry, can the project still specify commercial washers?
Secondly, I am not able to find any specific requirements for the dryers under v4.0. Do the dryers need to be energy star certified? Requirements for washers are listed under the indoor water use credits, where can i find requirements for dryers?

Of course the project can specify commercial equipment. If you are doing less laundry than assumed it will affect your savings calculations.
Dryers do not appear to be covered by Energy Star. This means there are not any dryers that use less energy than the norm. I thought I heard about heat pump dryers but I have not done any searching lately.
